OREANDA-NEWS A Russian woman met a Chinese man on Tinder and was enslaved in Myanmar, where she was taken out by deception. She told RIA Novosti about this.

It turned out that it was her ex-boyfriend who sold her to the fraud center. "He gradually ingratiated himself into my confidence and collected information about me. He asked me about the scam centers, what I know about them. Later, I realized that he was specifically collecting my photos for future use," said the victim, who wished to remain anonymous.

According to her, they traveled to China together for a while, and then agreed to meet in Myanmar. The young man then explained that he would like to show his beloved Buddhist temples. After the Russian woman's arrival in Yangon, the Chinese man convinced her for several days that he would arrive soon. However, instead of him, a car arrived for a compatriot, into which unknown Chinese people got on the way. The young man then advised the girl not to worry and said that unfamiliar passengers were needed for safety because of the martial law in the country.

After several checkpoints, the tourist was ferried across the river by boat, transferred to another car and brought to an office in a gated complex. "A Chinese man met me there. I immediately began to explain that a mistake had occurred, and asked to be given the opportunity to call the guy. But he said, "Starting tomorrow, you're working here." I repeated that it was impossible. Then he said, "No. You start working tomorrow. You were sold," the Russian woman recalls.

She was told that her boyfriend had already received money for her sale, and that her photos were already being used for fraudulent purposes on dating sites. In addition, the compatriot was threatened with violence if she refused to work. She was rescued from the fraudulent center thanks to the joint work of the Russian Embassy in Thailand, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and law enforcement agencies of Myanmar and Thailand.

Earlier, a Russian man decided to help his fiancee pay for her studies and was enslaved in Myanmar. He went with her to Thailand to earn money, but a part-time job abroad turned out to be a scam.
