OREANDA-NEWS  A noticeable 4.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded off the coast of the Kuril Islands. This is reported on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The tremors occurred on Tuesday, August 11, at 23:13 local time (15:13 Moscow time). Their epicenter was located 261 kilometers southwest of Severo-Kurilsk, which has a population of about 2.4 thousand people. The source was located at a depth of 180 kilometers.

On the eve of a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 was recorded in Colombia. Its epicenter was located about 240 kilometers from the country's capital, Bogota. The disaster claimed the lives of more than 200 people.
