OREANDA-NEWS Afghanistan plans to sign a number of contracts with Russia at the Russia-Islamic World Economic Forum in Kazan, including in the field of purchasing Russian petroleum products and agricultural products, Rustam Khabibullin, head of the Russian business center in Afghanistan, told RIA Novosti.

"At the forum, it is planned to sign three contracts in the field of purchases by the Afghan side of petroleum products, agricultural products (from Russia – ed.), as well as a contract for investments by a Russian construction company in the development of Afghanistan's infrastructure," Khabibullin said.

RIA Novosti acts as the general media partner and photo host of the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World: Kazanforum 2026". Its events will be held in Kazan on May 13-15.
