Almost all Russians have iodine deficiency, the Ministry of Health reported

OREANDA-NEWS Practically the entire Russian population currently has an iodine deficiency, said Natalia Mokrysheva, Director of the I. I. Dedov National Research Institute of Endocrinology of the Russian Ministry of Health, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
"Currently, almost the entire population of the Russian Federation has iodine deficiency of varying severity," follows from Mokrysheva's presentation presented at the First All-Russian Congress with International participation "Nutrition is the way to national health."
In addition, according to Mokrysheva, about a quarter of people who consume additional vitamin D3 do not feel a noticeable difference, since the required dose must be determined individually.
