OREANDA-NEWS  The business situation in Russia in early 2026 worsened to one degree or another compared to 2025. Such an answer was given by 94.7 percent of respondents in a large-scale survey conducted by the Opora Russia business association. 76.5 percent indicated a significant deterioration in the situation, according to Forbes.

3,500 entrepreneurs from 86 regions of the country participated in the study. Almost all of them are representatives of medium, small and microbusiness, individual entrepreneurs (sole proprietors) or self—employed. Most of the respondents represent microenterprises with revenues of 20-60 million rubles.

This year, they are facing a drop in revenue (68.7 percent), although by the end of last year, 45 percent either did not make a profit or recorded losses.

One of the main reasons for the deterioration was the amendments to the Tax Code, which increased the burden on enterprises. First of all, we are talking about reducing the annual income limit, which allows using the simplified taxation system (USN) and the patent taxation system (PSN), from 60 to 20 million rubles.
