OREANDA-NEWS   The Russian vessel Ursa Major, which was carrying cargo for the construction of the Ruppur nuclear power plant, was banned from entering Bangladesh, the New Age newspaper writes.

This happened because of US sanctions. The authorities of this Asian country learned that the ship is under the restrictions of Washington from a letter from the American embassy. It also contained a warning about possible sanctions or fines for unloading products from the ship, providing fuel or any assistance to sailors.

"Russia informed us that they sent the vessel by mistake and will now replace it with another vessel to transport cargo for the Ruppur NPP and deliver it to the port of Bangladesh," said Yeafesh Osman, Minister of Science and Technology.

Russian companies have problems in other countries as well. In June, the Georgian authorities announced that they were not going to allow Russian oil delivered to Batumi, which was issued to a company that had fallen under Western sanctions, to enter the country.
