OREANDA-NEWS  An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in Mexico, according to the national Seismological Service.

"Preliminary information: an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 317 kilometers south of the city of Cetumal, Quintana Roo State," the service said on its page on the social network X.

The earthquake was recorded at 00.08 local time (09.08 Moscow time). Seismologists clarified that the source was located at a depth of ten kilometers.
