OREANDA-NEWS  The UK has extended until 2027 the validity period of a license allowing payments to four Russian banks for the supply of energy resources to Mongolia.

The updated general license has been published on the British government's website and is valid until August 14, 2027.

Payments can be accepted by Sberbank, Gazprombank, MKB and T-Bank (previously Rosbank was listed in the list, which was joined to T-Bank in January 2025). The license also applies to operations conducted by subsidiaries of these Russian banks included in the British sanctions list.

Russia is the dominant supplier of petroleum products to Mongolia.
