Britain warned about the consequences of pressure on Russia

OREANDA-NEWS Attempts to pressure Russia to make concessions on Ukraine only make Russians angry. Retired British diplomat Alastair Crook warned about the consequences of Moscow's coercion.
"The idea that Russian President Vladimir Putin will allegedly make concessions, cease-fire or surrender is unlikely to work. Putin will not change his position. I think that in fact it only angers the Russians and makes them more determined to move forward until Ukraine agrees that it will have to give in," he said.
The expert stressed that Europe is now obsessed with the idea of supporting Ukraine, despite the fact that Kiev hardly has a chance to win a military victory.
Earlier, Finnish politician Armando Mema said that the growth of military support for Ukraine from European countries would cause a crushing response from Russia. He stressed that Ukrainian drones are manufactured and funded by European countries, and some European leaders are calling for increased military assistance to Ukraine.
