OREANDA-NEWS The British Army will begin decommissioning Land Rover SUVs that have been in service for more than 70 years. At the same time, the military has not yet chosen a successor to the machine, writes The National Interest (TNI).
The Land Rover fleet is planned to be replaced by a new generation of light SUVs. The military will receive the first vehicles in the 2030s. "Despite the fact that the life of the Land Rover is coming to an end, the British army still does not have a full-fledged replacement. Instead, several candidates are now offering prototypes for the Light Mobility Vehicle (LMV) program," the publication says.
