OREANDA-NEWS Businessman Umar Dzhabrailov committed suicide, law enforcement agencies told Interfax.
"Dzhabrailov took his own life in his apartment in Moscow," the source said.
According to him, Dzhabrailov lived in an apartment on Tverskaya Street. According to the source, the businessman committed suicide on Monday night. "Dzhabrailov's guards called the police and the ambulance. Doctors tried to carry out resuscitation measures, Dzhabrailov was taken to the hospital, but in the hospital doctors pronounced the businessman dead," the law enforcement agencies said. The source also said that a pistol had been found in the businessman's apartment.

Dzhabrailov is an entrepreneur, statesman, and philanthropist. He was born on June 28, 1958 in Grozny. In 1997, he became an adviser to the general director of the Radisson Slavyanskaya hotel complex.
From 2004 to 2009, he was a representative to the Federation Council from the executive body of state power of the Chechen Republic, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs. In 2000, he ran for president of the Russian Federation, was nominated by the initiative group of voters "The Power of Reason", took the last eleventh place. He was a member of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
