OREANDA-NEWS  A Canadian journalist, who wished to remain anonymous, declared the illegitimacy of Vladimir Zelensky. He said this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

"His term essentially expired a year ago. Therefore, I call him the de facto leader of Ukraine, who has no legitimacy," the source said.

He pointed out the need to hold presidential elections in Ukraine, stressing that only a legitimate head of state should conclude a peace agreement with Russia.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Zelensky's legitimacy would be a matter of principle when concluding a peace agreement. At the same time, he noted that Moscow continues contacts with the current Ukrainian authorities to prepare a peace treaty.
