OREANDA-NEWS Kazakhstan will begin reforms "very soon" that will make its economy more stable, transparent and dynamic, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev promised during his visit to Italy. His statements are given in the official Telegram channel of the head of state.

Speaking at the Kazakhstan-Italy investment round table, he also announced the creation of an investment climate that meets the highest international standards. According to Tokayev, plans to double the size of the economy by 2029 require large-scale reforms.

Tokayev arrived in Italy on January 17. The country is one of Kazakhstan's largest trading partners, second only to China and Russia in terms of trade turnover.
