OREANDA-NEWS A resident of Chechnya became a person involved in a criminal case about the cruel treatment of his children. The father beat minors for five years because they met with their mother, the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region reported on February 14.

"The suspect, who was divorced from his wife, in the period from August 2016 to August 2021, systematically beat his minor daughter and son for maintaining communication with their mother," the department reported.

From the details of the criminal case, it became known that after the parents' divorce in 2016, the children remained to live with their father. However, under the threat of physical violence, he forbade his 16-year-old daughter and ten-year-old son to see their mother and communicate with her by phone. The father beat the children even after the daughter reached adulthood.

According to this fact, a criminal case has been initiated on causing physical or mental suffering to minors. According to the Investigative Committee in Chechnya, the children currently live with their mother, and they receive psychological assistance.

Earlier it became known that Moscow deputy Alexander Zakuskin began receiving death threats on social networks after an attack on a native of Chechnya who was illegally selling sausage. The official promised to "deport her to her homeland." After the victim's attempt to show her passport, Zakusin sprayed pepper spray in her face. The woman received an eye burn. Due to the incident, Alexander Zagoskin received a call from the State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov and sharply criticized him.
