OREANDA-NEWS China opposes the exclusion of Russia from the Group of Twenty and other international platforms, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, opening a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the Group of Twenty summit in Bali.
"We are very glad that you personally participate in the G20 summit, represent Russia at the summit, this is a very glorious mission. We support Russia's worthy role within the G20 and other international platforms, and we believe that no one has the right to take away Russia's rational right to participate in multilateral formats," Wang Yi said.
He noted that he intends to discuss with his Russian counterpart "issues of mutual interest, as well as cooperation to preserve the stable dynamics of bilateral relations."
