OREANDA-NEWS Large-scale disruptions in the supply of raw materials and petroleum products from the Middle East due to the war in Iran forced the Chinese authorities to take an emergency measure on the domestic fuel market. This is reported by TASS.
Representatives of the State Committee for Development and Reform of the People's Republic of China announced the second increase in retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel since the beginning of March. The changes will take effect on Tuesday, March 24. From this date, the cost of a ton of gasoline in the domestic market of the Asian country will increase by 1,160 yuan, and diesel fuel — by 1,115 yuan.
After this adjustment, the first type of fuel, depending on the region, will rise in price to 10 415 — 10 855 yuan per ton (approximately 1.5-1.57 thousand dollars according to the current exchange rate), the second — up to 9460-9800 yuan (1.37-1.42 thousand dollars).
