Chinese investor to create agricultural machinery factory in Primorye

OREANDA-NEWS By 2027, a Chinese investor plans to create an agricultural machinery plant with a capacity of 70 units per month in the territory of the free port of Vladivostok (SPV), according to the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.
"In Primorye, a Chinese investor with the status of a resident of the SPV organizes import-substituting production of agricultural machinery. The company "Europe-Asia Far East"... It will create production of tractors, combines, cultivators, as well as trailers and semi-trailers. The company will provide large and medium-sized agricultural enterprises with equipment for tillage, harvesting and transportation of crops. In addition, the company plans to establish cooperation with China for the export of finished products. The plant is planned to be commissioned in 2027," the report says.
Under the agreement with the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the investor will invest 147.5 million rubles in the project, 50 jobs will be created.
"The project is focused on the creation of special equipment and agricultural machinery that can replace imported counterparts. Production on the territory of the village of Pogranichny in Primorsky Krai, which has excellent transport accessibility, including railway tracks and access to a road checkpoint at the border, will be an important step in strengthening logistics chains with China," Alexey Mladentsev, Europe-Asia Far East CEO, is quoted as saying.
He noted that Chinese technologies will also be used at the enterprise. "The import-substituting production, having reached its design capacity, will produce 70 units of agricultural machinery per month," the report says.
According to the Corporation, SPV residents are implementing 1,815 projects in Primorsky Krai, 500 of which have already been commissioned. 491.28 billion rubles have been invested in the region's economy.
