OREANDA-NEWS   Russian companies will present technologies for smart cities at a business mission in Bangkok, according to the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group).

"On March 17-18, the Russian Export Center will host the Smart Cities international business mission in Bangkok, focused on the Thai and Southeast Asian markets. 18 companies from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad Region, Udmurtia, Perm Region and Novosibirsk Region will take part in the event under the national brand Made in Russia," the REC notes.

Thailand's choice as a site is due to the large-scale digital transformation program being implemented here. Over the past 8 years, Thailand has been involved in creating a network of smart cities among ASEAN countries. As part of the Eastern Economic Corridor initiative, the kingdom plans to invest about $60 billion in infrastructure projects.
