OREANDA-NEWS  Czech President Petr Pavel was injured while riding a motorcycle, he will need to be monitored in hospital, the office of the head of state reported.

"The injuries are not serious, but will require short-term observation in the hospital," the presidential office said in a statement on the social network X. It is reported that the president was taken to the Central Military Hospital in Prague.

Radio Prague International notes that 62-year-old Pavel is an avid motorcyclist and did not give up his hobby even after being elected president in March 2023.
