OREANDA-NEWS Seoul City Council Deputy Chairman Song Hyum Jae and Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of Russia Leila Zotova discussed youth policy and the development of international youth exchanges, the Seoul City Council said.

The meeting took place on August 4 in the building of the city Council of the South Korean capital.

"The parties exchanged views on measures to support youth in Seoul, the role of local legislatures, increasing youth participation and enhancing international exchanges," the city council said in a statement.

They noted that the visit of the Russian delegation was organized to present the International Youth Festival 2026, which is scheduled to be held in September in Yekaterinburg, as well as to get acquainted with Seoul's youth policy and the experience of international youth exchanges.

It is reported that Zotova spoke about the 2026 International Youth Festival, which is being prepared as a platform for international exchange with the participation of young people from different countries.

"It is very important that young people, thanks to their diverse international experience, understand each other's culture and prepare for the future together. I hope for a successful international event with the participation of young people from all over the world," said Song Hyum Jae.
