OREANDA-NEWS  Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, believes that the energy options for the European Union and the United Kingdom have worsened amid the expected strengthening of cooperation between Russia and China in the gas and oil sectors.

On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters that Russia and China had reached a high degree of agreement to make a significant step forward in the gas and oil sector.

"The energy options for the EU and the UK in the context of the worst energy crisis have just worsened," Dmitriev wrote on his page on the social network X, commenting on the message about Putin's words.
