OREANDA-NEWS  The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union are starting measures to implement free trade agreements with the UAE and Mongolia, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told reporters following a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the EAEU in Moscow on Thursday.

Overchuk noted that an important outcome of Belarus' chairmanship in the EAEU bodies in 2025 was the signing of the agreement between the EAEU and the UAE on a free trade zone and a similar interim agreement between the EAEU and Mongolia.

"To date, we are conducting procedures for the entry into force of these agreements, and the relevant ratification procedures are currently underway in our countries. And we are also starting measures to implement these agreements together," Overchuk said.
