This was announced to reporters by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, on the sidelines of the meeting of the EU Council on General Affairs.

"There is some optimism, Barnier is trying to reach a deal tonight. Otherwise, we will likely need another summit before the end of this month", Asselborn said. According to European sources, at the moment the proposals of London are still not satisfied with Brussels.
