OREANDA-NEWS Former assistant to former US President Donald Trump for national security John Bolton commented on the policy pursued by the administration of US President Joe Biden in relation to Ukraine. He wrote about this in an article for The Wall Street Journal.

Bolton said that the reasons for the slow counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lie in the slow delivery of aid to Kiev. In his opinion, disputes over arms supplies, fear of escalation and Moscow's actions have led to "paralyzing caution" in a number of countries. At the same time, NATO shows "unwillingness to adhere to obligations to restore full sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine." The former Trump adviser added that the inability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to achieve significant success during the operation is the result of Biden's policy aimed at delaying Russia's victory. "Biden's indecision should be blamed for the fact that the Ukrainian offensive has stalled," Bolton accused him

Earlier, Bolton called it a waste of time to talk about Ukraine's accession to NATO. The dialogue on this issue is an incorrect signal to Russia about the lack of unity in the alliance, he noted.
