Explosion at a fireworks factory In China killed more than 20 people

OREANDA-NEWS An explosion at a fireworks factory in China's central province killed at least 21 people and injured 61 others, state media reported on Tuesday.
According to China's Xinhua News Agency, the explosion occurred at about 16:40 (11:40 Moscow time) on Monday at a fireworks factory in Liuyang, a county town near Changsha, Hunan Province.
About 500 rescuers were sent to the scene.
Chinese President Xi Jinping called for every effort to find people who are still missing, as well as to rescue the injured.
He also demanded proper elimination of the consequences and a speedy investigation of the accident, stressing that those responsible must be brought to justice.
Xi Jinping noted that the authorities of all regions and departments should learn important lessons from this accident and strengthen workplace safety control.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, but have already taken "control measures" against the company's executives, the agency said.
