OREANDA-NEWS  Finland has joined the naval coalition led by the United Kingdom and Norway, which aims to develop the Naval Forces of Ukraine. This is reported by Yle.

It is noted that this decision was made by the head of the country's Defense Ministry, Antti Hyakkanen. Currently, the coalition includes 17 countries.

"Finland joins coalitions on capacity building based on careful consideration of each specific case, always ensuring that our contribution will be sufficient and effective and will bring obvious added value to building Ukraine's military potential," the Finnish minister stressed.

Earlier, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that the coming days would be crucial for resolving the Ukrainian conflict. The Finnish leader noted that he had spoken with Ukrainian Leader Vladimir Zelensky and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. He stressed that Ukraine's future depends on Ukraine, and European security depends on Europe.
