FESCO has reoriented container shipments from Ankara from Novorossiysk to St. Petersburg

OREANDA-NEWS FESCO Transport Group (located in the management loop of "Rosatom" State Corporation) has reoriented intermodal container transportation from Ankara from Novorossiysk to St. Petersburg, the group said.
"The updated through route includes regular railway shipments from the Turkish capital to the port of Gebze, followed by delivery by FESCO marine services to St. Petersburg," the report says.
The first shipment of 40 TEU was shipped from Ankara on September 19. After arriving in Gebze, the containers were loaded onto the group's ship bound for St. Petersburg. The estimated time of the entire transportation is about 20 days.
It is noted that the intermodal route also operates in the opposite direction to transport Russian export products to the central regions of Turkey.
"We have adapted the logistics scheme of transportation from Ankara, retaining the railway arm to Gebze and changing the destination port in Russia in order to provide our customers with stable supplies from Central Turkey," said German Maslov, Deputy General Director for the Line Logistics Division of FESCO.
