OREANDA-NEWS Gas storage facilities in the European Union are filling up very slowly due to restrictions on the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has said.
"We will have quite big problems due to the suspension of short-term supplies of liquefied natural gas from the Russian Federation from April 25, and we will add to this the huge problems in the Qatari market, and we see that storage facilities in the European Union are filling up extremely slowly," Fico said during a meeting with members of the parliamentary Committee on European Affairs in Moscow. Thursday.
"At this time, the storage facilities in the European Union should be filled significantly more. We ourselves are now in a position where we may face great difficulties in providing (gas - ed.)," he stressed.
