OREANDA-NEWS Finnish Economy Minister Ville Rydman opposed the ban on nickel imports from Russia. This is reported by Yle.

According to him, sanctions should hit the target, and not "the one who introduces them." The head of the department said that Finland and Europe will suffer much more than Russia if they impose an import ban. He said that now it would be a disaster for the West.

"There is no point in showing Russia that we disapprove of its actions by shooting ourselves in the foot," he said.

Earlier, a former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Larry Johnson, said that Western countries want to achieve the collapse of Russia in order to seize its natural resources: gas, oil, nickel, fertilizers, nitrogen, aluminum.

He added that for this reason, the United States exposes Russia as an aggressor, stating Moscow's alleged desire to attack Europe.
