OREANDA-NEWS  Finland will finish ahead of schedule this year the construction of a fence on the border with Russia, the length of which will be about 200 kilometers. This was stated by the head of the Finnish Border Service Markku Hassinen, Yle broadcaster reports.

"The construction of the fence will be mostly completed this year. Only some sections will be completed in 2026," said the head of the service.

It is specified that the construction of the facility was to be completed only by the end of next year, but the fence was built ahead of schedule.

On January 31, a student with Russian citizenship was not allowed to visit the Olkiluoto nuclear power plant in Finland, as the management of the nuclear facility considers citizens of Russia and Belarus a threat to security. In particular, the child applied for a visit with the NPP class and indicated that he holds Finnish and Russian citizenship. In response, he received a notification that he would not be able to take part in the tour.
