OREANDA-NEWS Flydubai has suspended flights to Israel while investigating the incident on board the Dubai — Tel Aviv flight. This was stated to TASS by the press service of the carrier.

The incident occurred on the morning of September 30th. There were about 180 passengers on board. During the flight, the aircraft descended sharply and transmitted a distress signal of 7700, followed by the code 7500, used in case of suspected hijacking of the aircraft.

According to preliminary data, the conflict occurred between the two pilots. One of them tried to steer the plane down to the ground, the second, along with the passengers, tried to stop it. As a result, the latter was stabbed. After the incident, the airliner landed safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia.

Earlier, the Emirati newspaper The National, citing a senior representative of the carrier, reported that Flydubai could not disclose the nationality of the flight's pilots. According to him, the circumstances of the incident will become clear only after the investigators have access to the flight recorders.
