Food exports from Ukraine fell by 22.5 percent

OREANDA-NEWS Exports of food products and raw materials for their production from Ukraine in August decreased by 22.5% compared to the same month last year, according to documents from the National Bank of Ukraine, which were studied by RIA Novosti.
According to the report on the external sector of the economy in August, exports of food products and raw materials for their production in monetary terms for the month amounted to 1.279 billion dollars. In August 2025, this figure was 1.65 billion dollars. Thus, food exports from Ukraine decreased by 22.5% in August.
The so-called "solidarity corridors" were created by the EU in May 2022 as alternative routes for Ukrainian exports and imports via railways, highways, and inland waterways in Europe. According to the European Commission, in July, about 20% of Ukrainian exports of cereals, oilseeds and products from them passed through the Solidarity corridors, while about 80% were exported through the Black Sea. At the same time, about 95% of Ukrainian exports of non-agricultural goods passed through alternative routes.
