OREANDA-NEWS France has banned Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, known for his radical views, from entering the country, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barraud said on Tuesday.

In May, France took a similar measure against Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir over the mistreatment of members of the Sumud humanitarian flotilla.

"At the national level, we have banned Minister Bezalel Smotrich, four heads of settlement organizations and 21 settlers from entering our territory," Barro wrote on his page on the social network X.
