OREANDA-NEWS Gazprom will continue to supply gas to Serbia, as well as the Republika Srpska, which is part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. According to the press service of the Russian company, its head Alexey Miller held a working meeting at SPIEF 2026 with the chairman of the Union of Independent Social Democrats of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, at which an agreement was reached to extend the relevant agreement.

It is specified that Miller and Dodik discussed bilateral cooperation in the gas sector and the prospects for its development.

In addition, it also became known that Belgrade has agreed with Gazprom to extend the gas contract that expired at the end of June for another three months. According to Serbian Energy Minister Dubravka Jedovic Handanovic, the decision was made following her talks with Alexey Miller in St. Petersburg.

In mid-May, it was reported that Miller had discussed cooperation issues with Serbian Gas CEO Dusan Bayatovic. Prior to that, a Serbian top manager claimed that the Russian Federation had agreed to extend the gas contract with Serbia for six months, but then it turned out that it was about half the time.
