Germany's economy fell for the seventh consecutive quarter
"Seasonally adjusted GDP decreased by 0.2 percent year—on-year," the article says. In this context, the decline of the German economy has continued for the seventh consecutive quarter.
Since the third quarter of 2023, the indicator has been steadily losing from 0.1 to 0.3 percent, according to data from TradingEconomics.
Earlier it became known that the German government lowered the forecast of GDP growth for 2025 to zero. In January, the Cabinet lowered it from 1.1 to 0.3 percent.
Given that the country's GDP fell by 0.3 and 0.2 percent in the previous two years, this is actually the third consecutive year without economic growth.
