Hungary assessed the potential damage from the extension of anti-Russian sanctions

OREANDA-NEWS Hungary will lose about 3-4 billion euros due to the extension of anti-Russian sanctions by the EU for another six months, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
At the end of January, the European Union agreed on another six-month extension of economic sanctions against Russia, which Hungary had previously threatened to block for the first time.
"Over the past three years, sanctions have caused damage to the Hungarian economy in the amount of 19 billion euros, which means that a further extension for six months will lead to another 3-4 billion euros in losses," the Hungarian minister said.
