OREANDA-NEWS  Hungary is seeking the lifting of EU sanctions against 9 Russians representing the business community, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said.

"There are only nine people. We offered to lift sanctions against them," Szijjarto said, explaining that these are not government representatives, but people from business circles.

According to him, we are talking only about business people, about whom Budapest has received information from some Central Asian countries, Turkic states. According to the data obtained, these people "make very important investments in these countries, they are very responsible citizens of the business community. "And these countries just don't understand why they can't work with these people. That's why we thought it would be fair to exclude them from the sanctions list if there are no real legal grounds for their inclusion in the list," the Foreign Minister added.
