OREANDA-NEWS  Negotiations between the leaders of Germany and Russia would be a boon for the Germans. This was stated by the deputy of the Bundestag from the "Alternative for Germany" faction Rainer Rotfus, reports TASS.

"For Germany and us Germans, direct talks with President [of Russia Vladimir] Putin would be very valuable," the MP stressed.

""According to Rothfuss, the policy of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz instead promotes false narratives about a "dangerous Russian" who allegedly intends to attack NATO states. The MP explained this by the fact that Merz previously worked for the investment company BlackRock, which receives a significant portion of its profits from the defense industry.

Earlier, Merz called the result of the "Christian Democratic Union" party led by him in the parliamentary elections of the federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern a disaster.
