OREANDA-NEWS Former Chief of Staff of the German Ministry of Defense, Nico Lange, said it was necessary to increase pressure on Crimea and the Kaliningrad region. He wrote about this on the social network X.
According to the general, Crimea and Kaliningrad should become "expensive strategic vulnerabilities" rather than strategic outposts of Russia.
In his opinion, European countries should put pressure on Kaliningrad and the Baltic Sea, and Ukraine on Crimea.
Earlier, Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense committee, commenting on the potential threat to Kaliningrad from NATO, said the city's ability to protect itself from the alliance's forces. He noted that Russia "from the mainland" will also support its westernmost outpost.
