OREANDA-NEWS  Six eruptions were recorded on the Indonesian volcano Semeru during the day. This is reported by the MAGMA Indonesia portal.

The giant is located in the Lumayang area of East Java. The column of ash released by the volcano during the first eruption reached a height of 4.6 kilometers above sea level. As specified, a dense ash plume stretched in a northwesterly direction. During the subsequent eruptions, the ash salvo rose by 4.2 and 4.7 kilometers.

In April, another Indonesian volcano, Dukono, erupted. The peak is located on Halmahera Island in the province of North Maluku. During the eruption, the giant threw ash to a height of 3.6 kilometers.

Earlier, the Shiveluch and Bezymyanny volcanoes became active in Kamchatka. The first one released a column of ash 6.5 kilometers high. The Nameless volcano fired two ash volleys: the height of the first was also 6.5 kilometers, and the second reached a height of 10 kilometers and threatened to ash neighboring villages.
