OREANDA-NEWS  The death toll from Israeli strikes in southern and eastern Lebanon on Friday reached 30 people, dozens were injured, a source in the Lebanese ambulance service told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, a source told the agency that 24 people were killed and 24 others were injured as a result of strikes by Israeli military aircraft, drones and heavy artillery on a number of settlements in southern Lebanon on Friday morning. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Friday condemned the ongoing Israeli escalation, saying that the expansion of attacks in the south and east of the country, accompanied by the deaths of civilians, including women and children, is a dangerous step and is directed against efforts to consolidate the ceasefire.

"According to preliminary data, three people were killed and six were injured as a result of an Israeli aircraft attack on the Ain Burdai settlement in the Baalbek region (in eastern Lebanon). Three more people were killed as a result of airstrikes on a farm in the Jamalia settlement north of Baalbek," the source said.
