OREANDA-NEWS  It is necessary to identify and destroy the drone launch sites of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), said Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma's defense Committee. In conversation with Lenta the deputy explained the flights of Ukrainian drones to the Moscow region.

"There are various reasons for this. Trying to circumvent the [air defense system], they're swarming. The fact is that our air defense has a huge coefficient of usefulness, but still something goes through. Of course, we need to fight this, we need to reduce [flights] to a minimum," Kolesnik said.

The most important thing is to test the drone launch sites and identify all of this.

The deputy noted that it is necessary to pay closer attention to the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can be imported into the territory of Russia using the tactics and methods of smugglers.

"Drones are being imported in parts, they are being assembled here and then they are trying to use them on our civilian population. We need to strengthen roadside checks," he concluded.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that 350 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were flying towards the Moscow region on the night of July 12-13. According to the mayor, most of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed long before they reached the capital. 50 UAVs were destroyed on approach to Moscow, he added.
