OREANDA-NEWS  Iranian singer Parasta Ahmadi and eight members of her production team were sentenced to 74 lashes for performing without a hijab. This is reported by The Guardian.

In December 2024, 29‑year-old Ahmadi performed the patriotic song Az Khoone Javanane Vatan live on her YouTube channel. The performance went viral and gained millions of views, but the girl was without a hijab during the performance.

As a result, she was sentenced to flogging. The court of the province of Qom also banned the artist from leaving the country and engaging in creative work for two years for insulting public morality. The published video was described as "vulgar and immoral content."

Earlier it was reported that a criminal case was opened against Iranian singer Parastu Ahmadi and her production team for performing music live without a hijab.
