OREANDA-NEWS Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in a coma after an airstrike. This is reported by The Sun, citing a source.

"They amputated one or two of his legs. He also suffered a ruptured liver or stomach. Apparently, he is in a coma," the source told the publication.

According to the source, Iran's new supreme leader is under the supervision of Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarjani in the intensive care unit at Sina University Hospital. Part of the hospital building was cordoned off and enhanced measures were introduced to ensure the protection of the medical facility.

It is unclear whether Mojtaba Khamenei was injured on the same day that his father Ali Khamenei passed away. According to The New York Times, the new supreme leader was wounded on the first day of the conflict between the United States and Israel with Iran — on February 28.
