OREANDA-NEWS Representatives of Japan and the European Union (EU) opposed the US proposal to the G7 countries to completely ban exports to Russia, noting that such a decision is impossible. This is reported by the Financial Times newspaper.

One of the sources of the publication pointed out that Washington's idea is impossible.

According to two officials, the proposal for a complete ban on exports was made against the background of the United States' dissatisfaction with the existence of a system under which Russia continues to import Western technologies.

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing its sources, reported that the United States and other allies of Ukraine intend to radically change the principle of export restrictions to Russia within the framework of sanctions, so that it concerns most of the supplies. The interlocutor of the publication pointed out that, most likely, even if an appropriate decision is made, the sanctions policy will remain unchanged in relation to agricultural products and medicines.
