OREANDA-NEWS  Currently, Japan is not going to change the entry rules for Russian citizens. Thus, the possible tightening of entry requirements for Russians was assessed at the embassy of the Asian country in Moscow, Izvestia reports.

"Although it is impossible to predict the future, there are currently no plans to tighten or, conversely, relax the requirements for entry to Japan and visa processing for Russian citizens," the diplomatic mission said.

It is clarified that now visas are issued to domestic travelers in the same way as before.

Earlier in December, it was reported that Russians had flocked to Japan and China en masse. The number of hotel bookings by tourists in these two Asian countries in December 2023 increased more than 10 times compared to the same period in 2022.
