OREANDA-NEWS The AK-203 developed in Russia may become the main machine gun of the Indian army, Alan Lushnikov, head of the Kalashnikov concern, said on the sidelines of the IV All-Russian Forum of Gunsmiths. This is reported by TASS.

"Judging by the number of assault rifles they ordered, it is the Indian Ministry of Defense's plan that the AK-203 should become the main assault rifle of the ground forces," the head said.

Earlier, the concern reported that a large batch of AK-12 assault rifles of the 2023 model was shipped to the state customer.

Also in September, TASS noticed that a mock-up of an AK-12+ machine gun with increased accuracy was shown at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
