OREANDA-NEWS  From April 1, Kazakhstan introduces mandatory registration of accompanying invoices for goods (SNT) in trade with the EAEU countries, including Russia.

The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the country explained the measure by the need to reduce shadow turnover and eliminate tax losses (VAT). According to the initiative, the system will automate the process of controlling the supply of goods across the border.

Market participants emphasize that the effect of the measures introduced is still not fully understood. The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) regards the initiative as a barrier to trade turnover in the EAEU market. The Ministry of Economy of Russia stated that they will monitor the situation in order to respond immediately if there are obstacles to the free circulation of goods on the Union market.
