OREANDA-NEWS Contacts between Russia and Madagascar are very intensive, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"Our contacts with the new leadership of Madagascar are very, very intensive," he said during a meeting with Madagascar's Foreign Minister Alice Ndiaye.
As the minister noted, Madagascar is Moscow's long–standing partner in Africa. Russia appreciates the participation of the country's prime minister in the first international security forum, which was held in the Moscow region at the end of May, as well as the visits of other government delegations, he added.
