OREANDA-NEWS  French presidential candidate from the right-wing National Unification party Marine Le Pen is not sure that Paris will continue to support Kiev's EU funding if she wins next year's elections. The politician said this in an interview with the Financial Times (FT).

"The honest approach to Mr. Zelensky is to tell him, in fact, to warn him: look, we can't do more, we can't handle more.… We have already provided loans in the amount of 90 billion euros, of which 18 billion are accounted for by France. 18 billion euros is a really huge sum," she said.

Le Pen has already promised to stop providing bilateral assistance to Kiev, with the exception of so-called "operational support" and training of Ukrainian soldiers. According to her, if she is elected president of France, Paris may not support the financing of Ukraine if it costs too much.

Earlier it became known that in Europe, officials fear a weakening of support for Ukraine in the event of success in the elections in Germany and France of political forces that advocate a revision of the course towards Kiev.
